Jeff Birkenseer has represented me in 5 real estate transactions over the past 7 years. He sold my primary residence in Marin and has represented me on 4 other residential properties which we purchased to rent out. In the 4 rental houses that we successfully purchased in the past year, we beat out literally dozens of other buyers specifically due to Jeff’s intensity, velocity, persistence, and the power of him representing me.
His ethics and dedication to service on their own are great, but it’s the fact that they are complimented by Jeff’s breadth and depth of real estate knowledge, that makes the complete package. He understands everything from macro-economic trends in the housing and credit markets, to deep knowledge of Bay area markets, to how underwriters think, and the detailed costs of a kitchen or bath remodel.
I feel very fortunate that someone with this much experience and talent isn’t too busy to help with a $500K condo purchase and doesn’t hand me off to a more junior person. I worked with four highly successful real estate professionals in the 15 years before I met Jeff, and I was always unimpressed with their level of service or their level of knowledge and kept switching as a result. In the past 7 years, I haven’t once entertained the idea of working with anyone else. If Jeff switched companies, my business follows Jeff, end of story.

When my wife and I decided to relocate after 21 years in our home in Novato we needed to pick someone to represent us. There were many friends, some family, and the Top Sellers we knew existed in Marin to choose from. We wanted someone who could get the best price for our home but also who we could trust and depend on. I think we struck gold with Jeff Birkenseer.
Although we needed a few months to get our home ready for sale, Jeff kept in touch weekly, came by more than few times to see how things were progressing always offering his help. He guided us with the most important improvements to make. He brought over his power washer when I mentioned I was going to buy one. He referred a great handyman who saved us tremendously on contractors. He hauled some of our junk to the dump, not just once, but many times. I am sure I have not mentioned all he did for us during this time.
We needed to get the house on the market and still had a couple of improvement projects going. Jeff didn’t mind in fact each time one of the projects finished he held an additional Brokers open house during the week. He held open houses for the public each weekend our home was up for sale including both Saturday and Sunday. Whenever there was a request to show the home during the week, Jeff was there. No one would of worked harder for us I am sure.
Once the offers came in Jeff always gave us the best advice on how to counter and eventually accept an offer. He and his office made the escrow process a breeze. The house closed on time and it was time for us to pack. We had a lot to pack after 21 years raising two kids in the same house. We needed to be out in two weeks and Jeff continued to help us with more dump runs and then again on moving day.
Jeff made my family feel like we had our best friend helping us through the whole process. We consider ourselves very lucky with our choice of Realtor. As I mentioned there were many for us to choose from. We are very glad we chose Jeff.
